An essential part of Harvey’s operating approach is to encourage and instill a customer focus and end-user mindset across business teams. Related to this, throughout his career, he has been an enthusiastic sales team partner who personally invests in and builds marketing-sales integration.

For Spanish manufacturer Alvinesa Natural Ingredients (circular economy leader of sustainable plant-based ingredients), Harvey was head of global marketing and reported to the CEO. He led strategic and tactical marketing that accelerated the company’s transition to upcycled natural ingredients for the dietary supplements, food and beverage markets.

Harvey was head of global marketing, reporting to the CEO of AgroFresh Solutions, a Nasdaq-listed AgTech and sustainability company that provides produce freshness and shelf life extension solutions to growers, packers and retailers. He developed the marketing and positioning strategy to launch the VitaFresh Botanicals plant-based brand for shelf life extension, food loss/waste reduction and retailer penetration. 

At Tate & Lyle, a world-leading manufacturer of food and beverage ingredients, Harvey was head of global marketing and formulated the marketing strategy and created the global Promitor dietary fiber brand to commercialize wellness category new products.

Mr. Chimoff gained an excellent brand management and marketing communications foundation leading Lipton Tea marketing teams at Unilever, where he preserved market leadership in heavily contested categories. The cross-functional operating requirements for success provided a strong general-management learning environment.

Overall, Harvey Chimoff has achieved success in large and small companies and in lean operating environments. He’s comfortable and adept in changing situations, and both under-developed and established marketing functions.
